Happy. Happy.

…and here you thought I didn’t care.

Ringing in the New Year

Happy new year, everyone. Celebrate. Be happy. Just be safe – watch out for crazy people on the roads and please don’t drink and drive. I am greatly looking forward to 2005 a great deal. 2004 was a very good year and I have absolutely no complaints about 2004 at all – – it was incredible as far as years go. In July of this year I quit my full time nursing job and took the leap into full time self-employment. It was scary, exciting, exhilerating and freeing all at the same time. I had no idea where it would […]

Is it really over?

Ok – so I mentioned that Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, but I think I also neglected to mention that I’m pretty happy when it’s all over! How exhausting it all is – – the shopping, the preparation, the gatherings with all those young nieces and nephews! Oy! We had a great Christmas this year. Everyone is happy and healthy and in relatively good moods – which makes for nice family gatherings, doesn’t it? The Christmas gifts were all well recieved. The eggnog had just the right amount of brandy in it. It even snowed on […]

Holiday Humor

Christmas is really my favorite holiday. I call it Christmas even though I’m an atheist, so all the rest of you atheist types who are offended by the word “Christmass” – bugger off! I’m also a traditionalist – and I love my traditions. Christmas time to me means special time spent with family and those you love and care about. It’s about everything that the whole year through should be about – and yet, we’re too busy to pay this special kind of attention everyday of the year, sadly enough. I do try, however – – but don’t always succeed. […]

Kitties Done!

Leanne has finished my kitties! Here they are: Aren’t they beautiful?? She did an absolutely tremendous job with them! The girl is CRAZY talented!!

English Christmas

Chris’s English Marm (read: his mother) sent a package for the holidays. We opened it because she said we had to. Inside, there were some wrapped gifts that go under the Christmas tree, and some food items from England to make Chris feel closer his homeland, or some such thing. Of course, there was a rather LARGE jar of Marmite in there . . . but some other odd things, too. Like cans of baked beans and some pastry type things called Pork Pie and Sausage Rolls. Pork Pie??? And these . . . I think they are cookies . […]

Scream!

Christmas is 8 days away! No. Seriously. It is! Would you believe I STILL have shopping to do? Of course you believe it — if you know the slightest bit about me, you believe it. I thought work would slow down a bit during the holidays. I was wrong. It hasn’t. Being busy with work is a very good thing — I just forcasted the holiday work load incorrectly! Speaking of work – go give my newest client a visit and say hi. His name is John and he’s an American living in Seoul, South Korea. He’s our newest member […]

Shopping and Working

Ain’t technology great? While I”m working . . . I can get some holiday shopping done all at the same time. I wont’ say more than this: Amazon Wish lists are great things! I just finished up another project for Robert @ Auburn University. The first project I did for him is his blog over at infOpinions, which is a blog he keeps for and with his students of his PR/Journalism course. He then contacted me shortly thereafter for this project: He Sez, She Sez – which was a fun project to do. Then, earlier this month, he contacted me […]

One of my favorites

One of my absolute favorite things about the Christmas season?

On The Road Again

We picked up the remaining pieces of the furniture and packed up the UHaul trailer and we’re ready to go. We’re planning on taking off at about 5am tomorrow morning, after a good dinner and a good night of sleep. Can’t wait to get home and set up the new bedroom set and replace the sofa and loveseat wtih our new stuff!! Nothing like a bit of interior decorating to make me happy – I’m easy to please! We had a good time down here in Georgia – even though it was mostly work, work and more work. I spent […]
