Vacation Pics

Chris & I – – It’s about 3 am and we’re having breakfast after a long, long evening of drinking an impossible amount of hurricaines. Behind all the casino/hotels there is a nice river walk that goes along the Colorado River. Along that walk is a booth that sells ‘Gator Bowls” – which is really a large 60 oz. glass that they will fill with Marguritas, Hurricaines or Daquri’s. They give you two straws — so, really – that’s only 30 oz. each, right? Except we ordered the first one for $16.00 (you get to keep the glass) – and […]

Vacationing girl

We had a blast – but we were busy! Man – we were busier than I am during a normal work week. We went on vacation with Dan & Tammy (Dan is Chris’s business partner). Tammy happens to be one of those people who can’t relax on vacation and NEEDS to be doing something every minute of the time. Oy! It was fun, though. Flew into LA on Thursday night – – and the plane didn’t even crash, like I thought it would! But the Valium and martinis worked like a charm. (even though I HATE gin). Friday morning, we […]

We are Outta here!

You won’t see me blogging over the next week. We’re headed to California for some much needed rest and relaxation! I’m putting my flying fears behind me (yea right) and hopping on that plane (scream!) and flying across the country to spend time with friends and just generally veg out. I will find myself at a computer at least once a day because I need to keep an eye on the webserver and make sure that no one is having any issues with their accounts. Maybe…just maybe, I’ll pop in here and post a picture or two of vacation things […]

Just when you think you've seen it all

create your own visited states map or write about it on the open travel guide Seems I have a bit more US travelling to do, hey? (the red states are the ones I’ve visited. They are red, aren’t they? Remember, I’m color blind – – I think they are red.) Looks like I’ve sorely neglected the Mid-North West and the far Northern East Coast. Forgive me? (found via: Blackfive)

Merry, Merry and Happy, Happy

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas! Blogging will be light over the next few days as I’m busy with holiday things and family time. It’s my heartfelt wish that everyone has a very happy and very, very safe holiday over the next week. In the meantime – my blog will be standing under the mistletoe waiting for holiday blog kisses! *MMMHWWAAAH*

Christmas Cheer

As promised – – holiday light display at our house. These pictures don’t do it justice – – but then, pictures never do. These trees are done in red, white and blue – the picture doesn’t really reflect that very well. Our kitchen, taken around dinner time earlier this evening. Pictures of the Christmas tree to follow – as soon as we have it done! We’ll be doing the tree inside the house later on this evening.

Naughty or Nice?

Found at Days Go By, I bring you the Santa’s Naughty or Nice Meter. Here’s my report: Lisa Nicer than nice. A real champ! I was really proud of all the hard work that went towards changing those “naughty” habits of last year. Treated friends nicely and was exceptionally honest (which happens to be one of my favorite traits!) It’s amazing what a good old fashioned “I’m sorry!” can do for a rating. Keep up the good work! Hmmm . . . I don’t recall changing my ‘naughty’ habits. Quite the contrary, I’ve worked pretty hard at keeping my naughtiness […]

Holiday Favorites

Favorite Holiday Movie: A Christmas Story Favorite Holiday Drink: A toss up between Eggnog with a bit-o Brandy and some nutmeg – – and a nice warm, toasty Tom & Jerry. Favorite Holiday Song: O Holy Night – kind of an odd song for an atheist to have on her list of favorites, however that song takes me back to my childhood – so the ties are there. Plus, if sung correctly – – it is extraordinarily beautiful. Favorite Holiday Sweets: Peppermint Bark Favorite Holiday Tradition: As children, we always gathered around in the living room on Christmas Eve and […]
