Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe Originally uploaded by LSRN94. This picture was taken in 2002 on our ski trip to Lake Tahoe. I haven’t skied yet ONCE this year… I ran across this one and damn near cried. Boo hoo hoo! We’re going skiing on Saturday – – If I have to go by my damn self, dammit! The scenery in Tahoe, though? Damn – ya just can’t beat it!

It's Me

It’s Me Originally uploaded by LSRN94. I hate this picture! But, I needed a decent picture to send in for my Bio for the SXSW Interactive Speakers page . . and the deadline was today, so not having any other decent pictures to sent – – this is the one that went. My nose looks HUGE!! /scream Of course, if Leanne were a better friend – she would have dropped everything and made her way up here to get a decent photo! I know what she’ll say . . it’s MY fault for cancelling our shopping weekend. I know. I […]

Christmas decorating

Santa Decoration Originally uploaded by LSRN94. Finally done with the Christmas decorations in the house! Out of all the decorations I put up in and around the house – – I chose to snap a picture of this santa guy. Why is he so special? Because he’s the only one that I didn’t have to put out – – he’s been in this same spot for exactly a year…he never got put away – and NOONE noticed! Not even me.

My Bubs

My Bubs Originally uploaded by LSRN94. Poor Bubba. We adopted him during our stay at our home in Alabama. Actually, I should say – he adopted us. He was a stray kitten who latched onto us during two hurricane storms down there and made the looong drive back home to Wisconsin with us. Here, he’s staring out the window at all the new fallen snow. His first winter – – do you suppose he’s longing for Alabama?

Snowfall

Snowfall Originally uploaded by LSRN94. I tried to catch the falling snowflakes here. We’ve gotten an inch so far this morning – – and are expecting 6-8 inches of snowfall by this evening. I’m sooooo glad I spent an hour and a half shovelling yesterday afternoon. What a week for the snow plow/blower to have a busted belt!

You Shook Me All Night Long

Who needs a treadmill when you’ve got a 1/2 mile long driveway full of heavy snow that takes 1 1/2 hours to shovel away? Today, it’s a balmy 27 degrees outside. I had to make a trip to the Post Office to pick up a check that was Fed Ex’d from a client of mine in Japan. Apparently, they tried to deliver it to my home last week and don’t attempt again . . so I had to make the 5 minute trip to the Post Office. Woe is me! When I got home, for some strange reason, I decided […]

It's All About The L

Hi! I’m Lisa – and I’m the author of this blog. You needed to be told that, right? I started this blog in 2002 – you can see all the archives here, if you care to browse. I live in Wisconsin – originally from Texas, and live in the Southeastern part of the state. What we small-towners refer to as “the Milwaukee-area” – which really isn’t near Milwaukee, at all – but it’s easier for the rest of the world to figure out where I am on a global scale. For the most part, when I tell people I’m from […]

On the road

We’re on the road back home from NYC. I really dislike the long drives back home .. they are much longer than the drive there .. or, at least, they seem so. Currently, we are about 50 miles east of Cleveland, headed West. If this post is laden with typos, apologize up front, I’m posting this from Chris’s PDA Treo phone. It’s kinda cool .. Ilve been surfing the net and chatting with pals on Yahoo while we drive through the fields and plains back home. Gives me something to do anyways, while Chris listens to a Robert Ludlum book […]
