Crazy Busy

The new year has started out with a bang – and very busy, as well. My post here may be very light over the next few weeks – – unless I get a terminal case of insomnia, in which case you’ll be treated to my insomnia-induced rambles, which can get very scary. So, if I start mumbling, rambling incoherently here on my blog – just give me a nudge and let me know. When I’m in insomnia-mode . . I just don’t notice such things. Exciting news for E.Webscapes – we’ve hired on the lovely and talented Leanne as our […]

Parade Magazine

Parade Magazine does an annual issue that features what people earn in different professions. They profile a handful of individuals each year – and it is one of their most popular issues. This year, they are interested in professionals in and around the blogosphere and see that as an up and coming profession. I’ve been approached by the agency that handles that issue for Parade and they’ve asked if I would be interested in having E.Webscapes profiled in their annual issue that comes out in March 2006. It will include my photo, bio, website URL and annual income disclosure. I […]

Pay me to chat

I was contacted a few weeks ago by the folks at Harris Interactive to participate in a moderated discusison about emerging web technologies. Basically, it’s a Q&A online discussion that they are conducting for market research purposes. They found me via E.Webscapes – dropped me an email and asked if I would be interested in participating in the A part of the Q&A – – and they’d pay me to do it. With dollar signs attached and the opportunity to talk about a subject that I love and am totally obsessed with – – of course I agreed! One hour […]

SXSW & Me

I‘m headed to the SXSW Interactive in March, 2006. I’ve heard about it. Read about it. Thought briefly once about going – but you know, life does get in the way of fun quite often. This time, I’m going – and with a purpose, even! E.Webscapes has been invited to be a part of the panel for best blog design practices at the SXSW Interactive conference on March 11 in Austin, TX. Susannah Gardener of Hop Studios is organizing the panel, and is a participant herself. She is a designer and an author, having authored Buzz Marketing with Blogs for […]

Becca

We have a new addition at E.Webscapes that I’m very excited about! Becca hails from the far east in Hong Kong and brings with her a wealth of amazing talent and abilities with blog design and creation. She is knowledgeable and perfectly comfortable with most all the popular blogging platforms available today – and adapts extremely well and quickly to programs yet-unknown. You can view her personal blog here at Beccary and get a taste of some of the fabulous work she does by opening her “Goodies” bag and viewing her WordPress themes available for download, as well as her […]

You HAD to be there

So. I hired more new talent at E.Webscapes. Sick of hearing about it yet? I’m not – – we’re rockin’ over there! Check out this. And then after you’ve done that – check out this. We”ve brought Ms. Artist Extraordinaire on board at E.Webcapes where she will wield her mighty brush, pen, ink and whatever other medium she uses over there to bring custom illustrations to life. I’m excited. She recently bought this cool Wacom tablet to do illustrations on. She just tried it out. She was so excited to show me. The conversation went something like this: leanne : […]
