Stupidity on the Net
So, we sent a DMCA notice to some folks who run bloghostings.com yesterday. This is how stupid some people really are – – they see something they like on the ‘net, decide they want it, completely rip it and put it up on their own site, yet they don’t bother changing the links in the content they’ve blatantly copied. Baby It's COLD Outside!
Yesterday, I started getting weather alerts, via Firefox, for my general location. (I use the 1-Click Weather extension) – – these alerts were telling me of winter storm warning advisories for my area. I was THRILLED! Of course this means we can hit the slopes tomorrow! w00t! So, I worked late into the evening last night to get some work done – including the launch of my brand spanking new redesign over at EWebscapes – that puppy is done and dusted, for the moment. Let’s see.. my day consisted of: Setting up one completed custom WordPress installation and design for a client whose host has some kinda funky PHP settings that took about 3 hours to finally resolve and get the WordPress installation working correctly. Well.. ok – my Mama didn’t teach me anything about blog design, but boy my job sure has changed in the past 4 years..it’s not what it used to be. Goodbye Purple
Change is good. I’m getting tired looking at my purple template I currently have up here. Anyone who has been around my blog long enough knows that I almost always revert back to shades of blue. Purple has been nice. It kept me calm throughout my wedding jitters. It’s been a good color for the past few months. But, as always, I miss my blue. Talking about taking work to bed with you! Over the past few weeks – I’ve been working pretty hot n’ heavy on this site owned by a guy who is a producer for a show on MTV2 called Subterranean. I’m not – but that’s besides the point. IE7 is coming to many computers near you, whether you like it, or not. The soon-to-be-released update to everyone’s favorite browser will soon be packaged into automatic Windows updates (by the way – do yourself a favor and turn those off, eh?) – and Windows users all over the net will be subject to an upgrade.
