WordPress For Dummies GiveAway Results

lsw-x

Giving away books is FUN!.

I give you the people I am sending a free, signed copy of WordPress For Dummies to, based on my 5-year Blogiversary post that had a little book give-away attached to it – and my apologies for it taking this long to post (the deadline was Nov. 5) – – my travels to NYC and Florida last week was the cause for the interrupt. So, here we have it:

Nika’s own WordPress story is here Nika has been on WP for just three months, and she thinks she’ll stay. That’s great news!

Jeric wrote his post about WordPress, including some of the great plugins he uses and some notes about why he enjoys the platform so much.

ers35’s post about why he chose WordPress as a CMS is here – in it, ers25 describes his initial decision based on comparison and review of other platforms and points out some great plugins he is using on his site!

And finally, Gary’s post about why he’s going to be moving to WordPress somtime in the near future, from MT – – great decision, Gary! I already happen to know that Gary has a copy of WordPress For Dummies that he bought from Amazon. How do I know this? He sent me a picture of himself with the book in his hands:

I got my copy of WordPress For Dummies - - W00T!

Ha! Thanks Gary.. I know you already have the book… but you don’t have a SIGNED one 😉

So that does it – – those are my four winners of the book. I need you each to hit my Contact Link and send me your full name, mailing address and phone number and I’ll ship that book out by the end of the week.

Thanks for playing!

  3. xD I did. Lol. Btw, thanks for informing me about it Joni. 🙂 Hahaha. Btw, the link above would be a dead one since my friend helped me change the url, so the /blog is now gone. ^^ *dances some more* :d/

  4. Eeeep. My mistake :”> Its not gone, it still works. Sorry I didn’t mean to spam your comments. 🙂 I really am excited on getting the book, so I’m bit clumsy still. 😡

  6. Lisa, have I told you lately that I think you’re awesome? Well, I do. You’re awesome. 🙂 I’ll be picking up my copy on my next trip to Barnes and Noble.

  7. Hey Lisa. I’m extremely jazzed about this book. As someone who is blind trying to get into wordpress, I’d be interested to know if you would ever consider an audio book or an E Book. If there is an e Book available, I would purchase it in a New York Minute. Looking forward to any help you may provide. Thanks so much.

  8. @Sakib – I generally stay away from email on weekends 🙂 I did see yours today, however..and responded.

@Kevin – Wiley.com had advertised Ebook availability for this title, but now that I go back to their website, I’m not seeing it there anymore. Tell you what, I’ll drop a line to my publisher to find out if there are plans for it to come out in electronic format. Thanks!

  9. @Kevin – just heard back from my edtior. The e-Book format of WordPress For Dummies will be available in the coming weeks at their main website at http://wiley.com. Here’s what she said:

According to our system, it should be available in e-Book format in the next couple of weeks. I’ll keep an eye on it and as soon as I see that it’s ready, I’ll let you know and send you a link where it can be purchased.

I’ll keep you updated here 🙂
