Once again, WordPress released another upgrade – version 2.0.2, that promises several bug fixes, as well security fixes from the previous version:
An important security issue has been brought to the attention of the WordPress team and we have worked diligently to bring you a new stable release that addresses it. Our latest version 2.0.2 contains several bugfixes and security fixes.
On brief glance at the site, I’m not seeing a link to the change log – but see these issues addressed via the Trac.
In addition, WordPress states “The problems addressed are unannounced XSS issues privately discovered and reported to the WordPress team.”
I have to say, as frustrating as it sometimes is with the releases being so close together – WordPress remains, in my mind, the best blogging/content management software out there. For being free, open source software available to public – it is heavily supported and closely watched and updated by its’ dev. folks.
I upgraded last night – everything appears normal.. as far as normal goes 😉
Um…what? :-\
