RE: Blogs – 7

lsw-x

1. Why do you read other blogs? Is it voyeurism? Curiosity? Are you just being nosy?

All of the above, of course! Seriouslly, I read for many reasons. Some blogs I read for humor and entertainment. Some I read for current events and information. There are some blogs I read for recipes. Some of the blogs that I link are good friends of mine — it’s a nice way of keeping up to date on what is going on with what is going on in their lives. I can be talking to a friend of mine on the phone for a few hours — and later go read his/her blog and realize that they didn’t even mention that gross ingrown toenail on their right little toe! Should I be offended they didn’t mention it on the phone….or relieved? Why is it good enough to blog about but not good enough to tell ME on the phone? I mean — sure…tell it to a few hundred of your online readers…but leave ME out of the loop?

Ok – it’s not really that serious, but you get the picture.

2. What is it that keeps you coming back to the blogs you read, regularly?

Humor. Fun. Information. Topics that are near and dear to my heart.

3. Do you leave a comment on every blog you read? If not – what is it that motivates you to click the “Comments” link?

No. I have to admit – – I’m a bad commenter. I’m a lurker to the highest degree. I read many blogs on a regular, daily basis — but don’t always leave a comment. I like to read them — so I really need to comment more because it’s always nice to know that you’re being read. Many times, I don’t comment because the blogger has already made the points I would make in comments — and I hate to simply post “I agree!” comments. That mainly pertains to political and OpEd type blogs. I need to be a better commenter..this much I know.

4. Speaking of other blogs you read regularly . . you know the protocol by now — list’em!

Mog has Ooey Gooey Kitty Poo – don’t ask, just read.

Linda is either envious, appalled, amazed, angry or perplexed.

Rosemary banner her first troll! Welcome to the world of bannedtrolldom, R!

Giving thanks to the military men and women, past and present, this weekend. Michele has a very nice Memorial Day post.

Speaking of honoring our fine men and women in uniform, BLACKFIVE has something particularly disturbing.

Speaking of particularly disturbing – Sean is keeping an eye on liberal bloggers who’ve left good sense at the door

A happy dance for homegrown marijuana? Go read Dean.

Hey! I’m a firestarter! 🙂

  5. I kind of wish that you had linked to another post, like the one about the tornado that missed our house by 150 yards and sucked the one year old from her crib who only has a bump on her head or the one about a man who committed suicide because of adultery with a hen.
