What ever happened to self-reliant Americans? Wasn’t that the American Dream at one time? It seems like now everyone looks to the Government for everything.
Absolutely agreed, Emily. However, when it comes to things like national security against international terrorism? I tend to look to my government to put things in place to keep the great people of this country safe. Maybe it’s just me 🙂

That’s an understandable concern, and also one of the few things that the Constitution actually requires of the federal government. I think if they concentrated on those things, then the external threats would diminish as well.
