Kitchen Mish Mash

lsw-x

Time to go grocery shopping around here – – I hate that.

Looking in the fridge, trying to figure out what to throw together for dinner. Here’s what I came up with:

1 lbs frozen, raw shrimp
2-3 glugs of light olive oil
3 garlic cloves, crushed
A few shakes of paprika
2 shakes of Cayenne pepper

Saute until shrimp is done.

Add three fresh chopped tomatoes
Throw in a bunch of oregano
Some shakes of salt and pepper
Bunch of shakes of onion powder.

Hmm…sauce is too thin. Put in a small can of tomato paste.
Look in the cupboard to see what else can be thrown in — find a small can of chopped black olives.
What the hell? Open can, drain – throw in the pan.

Decide sauce is too thick – fill small, empty olive can with water — pour in and stir.

Boil up some linguine till done. Serve shrimp/tomato sauce concoction over the linguine.

Oh! And noodles really ARE done if you throw them against the wall and they stick.

  1. Gary got a modified version of that to take to work tonight.
Jumbo Shrimp, fresh garlic, butter and spaghetti.

But then again he hates any pasta except spaghetti, hates tomato sauce and olives.. peppers..

  2. I know exactly what you are speaking about with regards to throwing together a dinner. What you made sounds like what I do at times too!

I can’t believe you are old enough to have a high school age son. You look so young and hip in your photo 🙂
