Him n’ Her

Background Noise

Chris and I just finished watching My Cousin Vinny for the umpteenth thousandth time in our life. Doesn’t matter how often I watch the movie, or how much time goes in between each viewing – that is still one of my most favorite all-time movies ever. Joe Pesci and Maria Tomei are awesome together in that flick. If any girl on the earth can give those 1980’s, big-hair girls from New Jersey a good name – – she’d be it! It must be the evening for watching movies we’ve seen a hundred times over. Now we’re watching Stargate with Kurt […]

Home Again

Chris is home for the weekend again! He flew in from LA on Friday evening – – only to fly back out Monday morning..this time to Atlanta. This is almost over – – this phase of his contract is coming to an end and they are coming up on the design phase of the project…all of which he can do remotely, from home. I’m looking forward to that – even though I’ll have to get used to sleeping only on MY side of the king bed! 😉 Tonight – we ordered in from a new Italian Deli that recently opened […]

TGIF

Chris is home!! Don’t be expecting to see me around here much this weekend…planning on being a bit tied up 😉

Insomnia Induced Ramblings

You’d think I’d be dropping dead into bed right about now. Not so, apparently. Not that I tend to blog much about our sex life – – but Chris and I are opposite ends of the coin when it comes to post-coital activities. Him? He sleeps it off. Me? The adrenaline rush is still rushing through my vessels, and it takes me forever to come down. Not that I mind it — I get my much needed snuggles n’ such – – but then he crashes, and I’m up for awhile. So, here I am – why not blog? He […]

Back to Normal

Well, I took Chris back to the airport this evening. He’ll be gone until Friday – and then home for the weekend again. There is light at the end of the tunnel, however – – it sounds as though this will only continue through August, or so – – so that’s a good thing. I’m also here to attest to the reasons why women do the multiple product thing…men respond to it in a big way. At least, my man does 😉 After long talks this weekend – – it looks as though I’ll be giving my resignation at work […]

Skinned Again

Let’s see a show of hands of those of you who had this thought when you clicked over here and saw a new skin: Chris is out of town again. Bingo. I’m so predictable, aren’t I?

Vacation Pics

Chris & I – – It’s about 3 am and we’re having breakfast after a long, long evening of drinking an impossible amount of hurricaines. Behind all the casino/hotels there is a nice river walk that goes along the Colorado River. Along that walk is a booth that sells ‘Gator Bowls” – which is really a large 60 oz. glass that they will fill with Marguritas, Hurricaines or Daquri’s. They give you two straws — so, really – that’s only 30 oz. each, right? Except we ordered the first one for $16.00 (you get to keep the glass) – and […]

Shouldn't everyone have one?

Chris is an odd guy. I love him to pieces – my whole heart is devoted to that man…He just marches to the beat of a different drummer, ya know? Recently, he drove a truck home from NYC where he picked up some of his stuff at his mom’s house. She was closing her Canal street shop and moving it to a different location – – so she also made him take some of the stuff she had hanging around her store. She is kind of an eccentric, arsty type. I love her too, but now I fully understand where […]

Movie Night

Chris is sleeping in the bed next to me. I can’t sleep. It’s going to be one of those nights. Oy. Before he fell asleep – he gave me a smooch and thanked me for a really nice day for his birthday. It was a really nice day, I have to say. After spending the entire day together, presents, (he loved them, btw) and dinner (NY Strip steaks marinated in soy sauce and honey – every try it? It’s awesome) – we settled down for the night, snuggled on the couch with two movies. The Replacements – which we’ve seen […]

Birthday Boy

Today is Chris’ birthday! He’s 33 and was already complaining that half his life is over. What an optimist, hey? He woke up this morning with a big, mylar Happy Birthday balloon tied to his big toe. My daughter and I went shopping for him last night. Chris thought we were at an orchestra concert. We got him one of these and one of these. Shhhhh! Don’t tell him!
