Grumbles

lsw-x

This is just me bitchin’. It’s been a pretty hairy week – crazy, chaotic, nuts, insane.

One of the biggest traits that I admire most in the people in my life that I admire (is that grammatically correct?) is that they mean what they say, and they say what they mean. When someone says they are going to do something – is it too much to ask for them to actually do it?

I guess I’m naive, sometimes. Because I foolishly believe that when someone says to me “I will do thus and such.” that I actually believe they will do it.

Is being trusting a character flaw? I’m beginning to think that it is.

I’m chalking it up to a hard lesson learned, for sure – – but nonetheless, it’s still very frustrating.

  1. sometimes ya just gotta bitch – – and I don’t think you are naive at all. Just some folks don’t have any integrity. Live and learn, Lisa – – live and learn 🙂

  2. Before I make a commitment to someone or something, I evaluate if it’s something I can really do. If I can’t, I tell them. If I can, I do my damndest to make sure I meet my promise. If I don’t, I feel like a failure.

I don’t hold everyone else to the same standard, though. Because of that, I’m always pleasantly surprised when someone does come through for me.

(sigh) I’m sorry you had a tough week. Me too. xoxo

  3. heya lisa.

ya know – i dont think trustin people is a bad quality. i think it kinda sucks when we have experiences with folks that teach us to cut it out huh? :/

i do expect that people are straight with me. doesnt mean i dont get it if someone cant follow through – life happens and sadly it doesnt revolve around me 🙂 i just figure they should be nice enough to lemme know as soon as they can. not just bail or keep me hangin. thats what ticks me off.

    take care huh?

  4. Sometimes shit happens where stuff doesn’t get done that’s supposed to, but yeah, when it keeps happening that definitely ticks me off as well.

  5. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Just say NO if your not going to do it. Why even say yes? Or those that volunteer to do something then don’t what is up with that? Boy you got me all wound up!

  6. One of the traits that I admire in people is integrity.

Naive? From what I know of you? No, not naive. Is it possible that a decision you made was a mistake? Sure. Now chalk it up in the mistake column, learn from it, and move on just a little bit wiser.
We all make mistakes. It is a matter of learning or not learning from them that seperates people.
