1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?
I’ve lived in Wisconsin almost my entire life – – we moved up here from Texas, so I appreciated the snow and weather for the first few years of it. These days – – oh-so-many-years-too-many-to-mention years later, I do love the snow and cold weather for the holidays. Come January, however – I’m complaining like nobody’s business!
2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
That’s easy – – always, always with family. My folks, my kids, the love of my life — my siblings, however, I can take or leave. A phone call from them would be nice.
3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
I’m a traditional girl. Whether my traditions make any sense – I stick to them. Even if they are traditions that surround things I don’t believe in anymore – – I stick to them. I think it harks back to the fact that I am a true creature of habit in every aspect of my life. Traditions are familiar and comforting to me.
4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
When I can, yes. I have a few charities that I donate to. Every year, I do make an effort to weed through closets (and my kids closets) and donate perfectly good clothing to the ‘Friends for Abused Families’ local chapter. They helped me more than you can imagine waaaay back when – I feel it’s important to help them back now that I’m in a place to be able to. Life wasn’t always this way, for me.
5. What one gift would you like for yourself?
A 36 hour day at least once a week.
Being you don’t mind receiving phone calls from siblings for the holidays – – can mine call you too? lol
Wasn’t it you who left me a comment telling me I couldn’t have 34 hours in a day?
Did I need to ask for 36?
You asked why – I said cuz there’s 24. Now a gift on the other hand . . . that’s a whole other story 🙂
I get it now! 🙂
