Kid Number One

Kid Number One Originally uploaded by LSRN94. My oldest had a dance at school tonight. I just HAD to snap a photo of it – – he cleans up pretty well 🙂

In IM today…

Lisa: and i still contend… all these geeks who are making money off their own technology? Lisa: why is anyone surprised when a software coding geek type person turns out to have zero amounts of personality or social skills? Chelle: heh that’s so the truth Lisa: i fully expect these geek types to be completely antisocial lol Chelle: easier for those of us to expect and understand who love geek types i suppose lol Lisa: so, when they make it big and are then invited to speak at a conference full of actual people – – out in the wide […]

NYC Planning

We’re leaving for New York on Tuesday. The kids are more than a little excited about it, too! This will be their first visit to New York . . and they just can’t stop talking about it. Over dinner last night, we were going through the different plans that we have made, so far. We’re leaving Tuesday, just as soon as they get home from school and hopping in the truck to make the drive to NY. Driving, you say?? Are you nuts, you say?? I am nuts – and I’ve been all the way through this conversation with Chris […]

The Right Politics

I just have to announce: my good friend, co-author at Right Voices and all around great gal, FINALLY opened her own blog today over at The Right Politics! Go over and say HI to Pam (peejz)! Yay!

Creamy Wins!

Here are the results of the peanut butter poll: 22 crunchy 43 creamy A BIG HUGE thank you to everyone who left their comment about it. Ben had to have at LEAST 25 respondents, however if he had 45+ he’d get more points, and extra credit. In total – he received 65 responses and his teacher will think he’s sucking up because he’s gone above and beyond the number required. That never does hurt, every once in awhile. He’s busy doing his graphs tonight – and is including a little blurb on the top that the responses were received through […]

Four eyes

Wanna help my son with his current Algebra project? Just a simple question you need to answer: Peanut Butter: Crunchy or Creamy? You can provide answers just for yourself – – or give me answers for yourself, and members of your family. He needs at least 25 replies and his project revolves around statistics, and the use of different graphs. So – give me your thoughts on peanut butter, please?? Ben says thank you!

Getting Insomnia Under Control

I spent almost my entire afternoon helping my 16 year old son with his US History project that is due on Friday. This project is worth 1/4 of his overall grade – so I’ve been riding him for weeks on making good progress on it. The basic idea is a chronicle of the years of his lifetime – so 1989 – 2005. During those years, he has to pick 10 historical events that happened in his lifetime, write a factual summary of those events, and then include an opinion summary based on what his opinions are about those events. He […]

The Plague

Can any of you guys spare a couch and a pillow? I don’t take up much room. I don’t eat much. I clean up after myself – – you’ll hardly know I’m there at all! I’m considering locking up my house — barracading the doors and quarrantining it to save the general public from the plague that has crept into my house. Chris: It appears he has a touch of food poisoning… probably from the chicken sandwich from McDonald’s the other day. Ben: Taking new antibiotics for his acne. He is acting like he’s having major surgery or something. Two […]
