Raising Teenagers
Anyone who bothers to give you parenting advice and says something like “…it gets better as they get older and become more independant” is full of it. Seriously. Fingers are over-rated
Because there wasn’t enough to do and get done this weekend. Because the index finger on the right hand of a rightie is so over-rated. And because my health insurance policy doesn’t become effective until June 24th – – my oldest decides to go and chop his finger off. Ok .. he didn’t chop it OFF – – but damn near. I CANNOT believe it’s 1:30 in the afternoon! I swear, I am on hiatus, but working harder than ever. Just launched a cute new blog for Amy today called Kvetch Blog – – moved her off Blogger onto her own WordPress blog hosted at Blogs About. I‘m not entirely sure what is in the air in Austin – but I’ve come home from Austin with a 102.6 degree fever, a gross cough, congestion, body aches, pains and generally feeling just absolutely awful! Exams
Today marks the first day of semester finals for my kids. Needless to say, there’s been a LOT of cramming and studying going around in this house this past week. Everything from Biology, Earth Science, Global Studies, CISCO, VBasic, US History and Algebra. It’s kind of a cool re-education process for me – especially the Algebra. Ugh!
