E.Webscapes

Need. To. Set. Limits.

Sheesh! You’d think all I ever do is design templates, hey? Well, pretty much that’s what I’ve been doing non-stop today. I’ll have a few more custom designed skins to show off later tomorrow. I like to drive a bit of traffic to these clients of mine to show my appreciation for they faith they’ve placed in me by handing control of their blog over to me for a day, or two! Thomas has an interesting blog over at Upgrade Your Mind. It’s got a bit of a motivational flare to it – – so go give him a visit […]

Hook-A-Thon Update

The Hook-A-Thon auction is all over. We have a recipient of the blog hosting package! Jane of Armies of Liberation gets the 6 month blog hosting package from Blogs About Hosting, which includes our Basic Hosting package, installation and set up of WordPress along with an “American Pride” themed blog template from E.Webscapes. Keep an eye out for Jane’s new domain! She’s making the leap off Blogger! Many thanks to the fine folks over at Hook-A-Thon for running this auction for a very good cause! Party on Hook n’ friends 🙂 –==UPDATE==– Jane’s domain is active and up and running, […]

Sister Told Jah!

Go on over and visit one of my clients, Zee – she is newly hosted at Blogs About and she also has a brand new, spiffy template from moi!. She’s a recent Blogger import and her and I go back a ways, back when I did her template for her blogger account. Now she has a brand new domain and enjoying the benefits of being an ex-Blogger user!

Keeping Busy

Keeping busy. Staying out of trouble (yea, riiiiiight). Working hard. Playing even harder. Below are shots of the most recent templates I’ve done for clients. Give ’em a visit. Say hi. Take your coat off and stay awhile!             Curious? 🙂

SkyBox

Apparently – these things are marketed to men. They are personal vending machines with the logo of their favorite sports teams on them. Fill them with beer, soda – whatever you want, I guess. How many of you guys out there would purchase a beer vending machine with your favorite sports logo on it and put it in your Rec. Room? I just ask – – is getting up to go to the fridge during the big game just too much to ask? It must be – because these things sell like hotcakes. Go ask Gary – – he recently […]

These are some great people – – go give ’em a visit: La Shawn Barber’s Corner Good Will Stacy The Baraws 4 My fingers are gonna fall off, I think! lol

Skinned Again

Let’s see a show of hands of those of you who had this thought when you clicked over here and saw a new skin: Chris is out of town again. Bingo. I’m so predictable, aren’t I?

For Those Who Care

I had a revelation tonight. CSS coders who are old hands at this will probably laugh and say “Pffft! Girl! I knew THAT ages ago!” Be that as it may….it IS possible to teach an old dog new tricks! For transparency effects in CSS – I use the following tag: filter:alpha(opacity=80); (where increasing the number will lower or raise amount of transparency effect) It’s a great effect that I use regularly. However – it never works in Mozilla. Ever. Ever. Ever. The problem has been solved with this tiny line of code: -moz-opacity:0.5; (where raising or lowering the number – […]

Blogging & Support Forum

In conjunction with my new blog for Blogging & Hosting Support – I have also newly opened the Blogging Discussion Forum, which serves three purposes: Hosting Support ~ A Support forum for hosting clients. Design Updates & Support ~ Updates on new skins at E.Webscapes. As well as a discussion forum for the sharing of ideas, questions, knowledge and experience in blog & site design. Blogging Forum ~ A Blogging discussion forum to develop a community of those interested and involved with blogging. The discussion is open – – the forum, unmoderated. Hopefully, we’ll get some good involvement and discussions […]

Copy N' Paste Issue

I’ve been having the oddest copy and paste issue on my sites. Goldie brought it up in an earlier post of mine. Thanks to her comment, I’ve been motivated to find out just what the hell?!? I figured it out. It was my style sheet and the way IE renders the tag: position:absolute. It didn’t like it. Mozilla likes it just fine – as do other browsers. But IE – – by nature of IE – – was being picky. Anyways – – fixed it! Copy n’ Paste to your hearts content! 🙂
