Blog Design

Whew! That's all I gotta say!

Major goings on! Today, E.Webscapes hit site number 400 in our portfolio! That kind of struck me as … Wow! Considering this time last year we were sitting at about 120. That means we’ve knocked out over 375+ sites in the last year and just kicked some major butt in the blogosphere, and back! I’m really proud of that – and so I raise my glass to the blogoshpere and I look forward to the opportunity to do 400 more! Many, many thanks to all of our great clients for working with us and giving us the opportunity to create […]

E.Webscapes & Moxie Do Austin With a Pickle

What a Pickle! Originally uploaded by LSRN94. Really . . . who woulda thunk it?? This pickle was GREAT! We’re leaving the convention center – – destressing after our panel presentation and we come face to face with this pickle! The same though passes our minds – – we MUST be pictured with the pickle! And so it was done. All hail the Podcast Pickle!

SXSWi Panel: How to Make $$ With Your Blog Design Skills

Post-Austin Blues

I‘m not entirely sure what is in the air in Austin – but I’ve come home from Austin with a 102.6 degree fever, a gross cough, congestion, body aches, pains and generally feeling just absolutely awful! It started to crop up a few hours before our panel, and luckily it did not really hit me hard until a few hours after our panel – – but unfortunately, cut my night with Danalynn and her husband, Kyle, short. 🙁 Sure, sure – the one night I go out to have fun in MONTHS – I get struck down with some horrid […]

I made it!

I made it! Originally uploaded by LSRN94. The three hour flight from Milwaukee to Houston was a nail biter the whole way. You know the kind of turbulance that lifts your ass a foot off your seat? Yep – I had three straight hours of that, with no let up. But I’m here — all checked in and signed up for the conference and am rarin’ to go. Since I arrived pretty early (yesterday) – I took the opportunity to hit the shopping malls in Austin. What kind of girl would I be if I didn’t, I ask? The weather […]

Nervous About Flying.. Me?

So, yea… in about 9 hours, I’ll be on a plane headed towards Austin to do my part at SXSW Interactive. If you’ve been reading me for any amount of time, you all know that I would rather peel my fingernails off and dip my fingers in salt water than get on a plane and fly anywhere. Somehow, I manage. I think it’s the 3 Benadryl’s with a Martini chaser that gets me through. As nervous as I am about flying, I’m excited and really looking forward to this thing. I get to buy a round of drinks for Peter, […]

Crazy Busy

The new year has started out with a bang – and very busy, as well. My post here may be very light over the next few weeks – – unless I get a terminal case of insomnia, in which case you’ll be treated to my insomnia-induced rambles, which can get very scary. So, if I start mumbling, rambling incoherently here on my blog – just give me a nudge and let me know. When I’m in insomnia-mode . . I just don’t notice such things. Exciting news for E.Webscapes – we’ve hired on the lovely and talented Leanne as our […]

WordPress 2.0 – Upgraded

I successfully upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.0 overnight – – it went smoothly without any glitches (at least none that I’m noticing at 4:30 am). Overall, I like it. It seems a bit slower than before – though, that could just be my server slowing down during peak server-wide back up time. We’ll give it more of a chance than that. I don’t like the rich text editor at all – and am absolutely thrilled that they added in the option to get rid of it. I can see where it would be useful for many out there, so […]

WordPress 2.0

The newest release of WordPress is coming out any day now – version 2.0 – – minor and major overhauls to actually jump it from Version 1.5 to 2.0. Before upgrading: The Codex has a listing WordPress plugins that work and plugins that don’t work with version 2.0 – check it out before you upgrade your blog. It is, by no means, an exhaustive listing. Deactivate the plugins that don’t work before you upgrade (that goes without saying, eh?) BACK UP YOUR DATABASE! After you’ve upgraded your blog to 2.0 – you may very well find that it’s running database […]

Parade Magazine

Parade Magazine does an annual issue that features what people earn in different professions. They profile a handful of individuals each year – and it is one of their most popular issues. This year, they are interested in professionals in and around the blogosphere and see that as an up and coming profession. I’ve been approached by the agency that handles that issue for Parade and they’ve asked if I would be interested in having E.Webscapes profiled in their annual issue that comes out in March 2006. It will include my photo, bio, website URL and annual income disclosure. I […]
