A Few Good Peppers

lsw-x

This is just my opinion, of course – but you can really ruin a really super, FANTASTIC cold pasta salad by putting in too many green peppers. Seriously, use too many? The whole thing tastes like a pepper.

I know. You were dyin’ to know that.

I’m up to counting down the days until we leave for the cruise on TWO hands. Yep – 10 days to go.. and then it is Bon Voyage, m’friends! But really, who’s counting? Weeeeeeeeee!

  1. Yep, and the same goes for on pizzas. Had a FANTASTIC cold pasta salad this weekend that I picked up at an Italian deli in St. Paul this weekend with lots of grilled veggies in it. I think there might have been more grilled veggies than pasta in it. We had it with open faced meatball sandwiches on fresh roasted garlic bread. It would have been a very bad trip except that everything has tasted SOOOOOOO good. Last night was homemade pizzas with kalamata olives (about the only kind I’ll willingly eat), fresh Italian sausage, mushrooms, red onions, pepperoni, and REAL mozzerella. Yeah, the stuff that comes in the ball floating in water like it should be rather than some shredded up stuff. I’m thinking tonight I might have to make manicotti since I still have a half pound of sausage left…

  2. Have I ever told you how pasta reminds me of that bit of cartilage on a KFC chicken breast?

Hee hee I said Breast…. But Astro said fresh polish sausage….

  3. Astro – so when are you coming up here to cook dinner? The pizza with the olives and mozzerella sound absolutely heavenly!

You’re ruining my diet with this comment thread, I’ll have you know!

And thanks, Fred – forever more now when I eat pasta I’ll be thinking of chicken cartiledge. 🙄

  4. I’m just fulfilling my job as that little voice in the back of your head telling you to do things you want to but know you shouldn’t. Come to the dark side…:mrgreen:

  5. I just scan this blog and have noticed that you mention about polish sausage. Well I’m from Poland and wonder how is it possible that you can buy it in your country?!
