9 days gone

lsw-x

9 days since my last post here – you’d think I was on another honeymoon, eh?

I wish. I DREAM of those beautiful, serene days in the sun and surf on Bonaire!

Nah, the past two weeks have been over the top hectic with work. My worries back in June about what a 2 month hiatus would do to business have proven to be unfounded. I’m more busy now than I ever was – – my head buried in code and design. When it’s not buried there, it’s buried in the support center for our hosting clients. When not buried there – it’s with my kids, their homework and trying to keep up with their busy social lives. Oh yea – and I have a new husband, too! Yea – he gets some attention in there somewhere! Heh.

In the meantime…

I’m in serious need of a haircut.

I posted some funnies over here – Can you come up with a good slogan for tourism in Muslim countries?

Got out of bed this morning at 6am. Took my daughter to school because she missed the bus. In my half-asleep state, I did the following within a time span of 30 seconds:

  1. Woke up. Got out of bed. Got dressed
  2. Tripped over Chris’s computer bag
  3. Causing me to fly about 6 feet into the wall
  4. Slammed my head… HARD .. against the fireplace mantel
  5. In the process of doing all of that – stepped on a mouse
  6. A MOUSE!
  7. Mouse died
  8. Cleaned dead mouse off my foot
  9. Headed out the door to take said daughter to school

Can you beat that?

Right now? I’ts 1pm. I’m on my 3rd cup of coffee. I have a long list of things that need doing. One thing at a time.. it’ll all get done. I am having fun with a blog I’m building for a guy from MTV2’s Subterranean. Way cool. Oh, and I do have a haircut appt. today at 4pm. Must. Take. Care. Of. Self.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. Really? Well, Meowface, I hope you’re happy – mom did your job for you. Go on over and flop down on the keyboard, take the day off! 😛

The hair? Pics of the hair please, Catherine!

  2. Leanne – I’ve taken to making fun of the poor cats in the house. Everytime I see one of the three I look at them and say “Oh LOOK – – it’s the great mouse catcher… NOT!”

The cats have proven worthless in the area of catching mice. Which is bad when you live out in the middle of farm country like we do.. where the little varmits rule the world.

I guess it’s a good thing I stepped on the poor thing.. but I’m having a problem with letting go of the feeling of mouse guts between my toes. I think I need therapy.

  3. omg really i have a same experience too !! while i was walking back home and i stepped on a mouse i still remember the feeling while stepping it . now i still can’t forget the feeling!!
