Speaking at Book Expo America

Book Expo America

Book Expo AmericaI was thrilled to be asked to speak at the annual Book Expo America, the leading event in North American publishing, on May 21st, 2011 in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center.    I will be presenting as part of the DIY Authors Conference & Marketplace – where aspiring writers get critical information and solutions to help them get published or self-published.  My session is from 2:00pm – 3:00pm (Room 1E15) and is titled “Web-based Author Tools:  What Works?”.

In my session, I will be exploring different online tools that are available for authors, as there continues to be an explosion of digital web-based platforms and tools that authors can enlist to create, edit, crowd source and ultimately publish their work.  However, there are performance and cost differentials that may not be initially apparent to the casual DIY author.  My session will help you cut through the clutter, to help you avoid the pitfalls and navigate to platforms that deliver the best and most trusted services.

Book Expo America is also being held, in tandem, with Blog World Expo – a conference that I will also be speaking at on May 24th.  I’ll post more details about my session at Blog World in the coming week.  I hope you can make it – and if you do, let me know you plan to so we can make it a point to meet and say hi!
