Well, my predictions were wrong. Which is always a good thing because my predictions are always on the pessimistic side of things. I keep them that way so that I am not dissapointed when things don’t go my way. lol
All, in all – I’d say we had a pretty damn good night.
Poor C. had to listen to me go on and on about the elections last night, ad nauseum. He tolerates it and puts up with it because he loves me and knows how much I get into the whole thing. It’s not that he doesn’t – because he does. And it’s not that we have diametrically opposing views – because we don’t. I just think he finds me to be a little naive, optimistic and idealistic when it comes to my politics. He is more cynical and suspicious – and I think he thinks that sometimes I get carried away in the traditionalism and ideals of it all. And I do – I admit that. It’s part of what makes me a Republican and a supporter and admirer of the Bush family. Him and I have some pretty good discussions about it all – and even sometimes find ourselves on a point that we can mutually agree on. Our discussions are fun – when I can keep my mouth shut long enough to actually have a mutual discussion – - alot of times he has to tell me to shut up …there have been times where he has told me to kneel, keep my mouth shut and listen. That works lol
My favorite quote from last night:
“Is this the Bushification of America?” ~ Dan Rather, CBS
My favorite quote from the campaigns:
“It’s like running against Mount Rushmore” ~ Senate candidate Coleman (Minnesota) when asked how he felt to be running against a political icon like Mondale
