It’s Tuesday.. this week is much better than last. Thanks for the support and encouragement I’ve received via email based on my last post (and for the virtual flowers, Stevie – that was really sweet!)… and Jeannette – I JUST got your voicemail today (I know, I know…) – – planning on returning that call later tonight when things are slow and quiet.

My lovely daughter, Melissa, is a sweet girl. She is bright, funny, charming and very, very social. She rarely gives us much trouble – – but, she’s also 16. Teachers let the monkeys out
School’s Out… and parents everywhere are already counting down the days until the start of the new school year in September! I work from home, and normally the kids are up and out of the house by 6:30 AM. Now? They are home. They usually head out around noon and hang out with their friends. A side effect of writing the book over the past several months is the weight gain that comes with lack of exercise and sitting in front of the computer every day, doing nothing but drinking coffee and writing like a maniac. Its been a really good week
I’m rounding the bend.. hurtling towards my second deadline, which is due March 1. It will be a solid few days of writing between now and then until I have to start working on my third deadline (March 31.) Sucker for Marketing.. Me?
My teenaged daughter has turned into a real smarty pants. I wonder where she gets that from? We have the strangest conversations. I took her grocery shopping with me this evening. While there – our age difference was evident. I picked up Orange Roughy, asparagus, artichokes, among other healthy foods – complete with sugar-free jello to try and tame my overly-sweet sweet tooth. She picked up chips, pizzas, corn dogs (ugh!), ice cream bars and something called a “Rock Star” energy drink.
