Quayle For Congress on WordPress

Ben Quayle for Congress Web Site

Thrilled to see a site that I worked pretty hard on finally launched and live:  Quayle For Congress.    Ben Quayle is the son of former Vice-President, Dan Quayle; and he is running for Congress in the state of Arizona.  I completed this project in partnership with Red Yawp Digital – - they provided the PSDs and I developed the site using WordPress with custom post types and jQuery work.

I am excited to announce the release of my latest WordPress book, WordPress Web Design For Dummies, which is now available on Amazon.com, Barnes & Nobel and anywhere books are sold, online or at your local brick and mortar bookstore. This is the fourth title that I have written for Wiley Publishing on the topic of WordPress – its gotten to the point where the folks at Wiley are calling me their Franchise author on all things WordPress (no, really – ask Ellen, she’ll tell you all about it!)

Continuing along with my line of WordPress-themed books, I am currently working on adding a new title to my WordPress arsenal: WordPress Web Design For Dummies (published by Wiley Publishing: For Dummies division). WordPress Web Design For Dummies will focus completely on designing web sites with WordPress. The book assumes you already have knowledge of how to use WordPress (ie: you have already read my other book, WordPress For Dummies) – and you want to learn more about designing web sites with WordPress.

Earlier this year, I was interviewed by Smashing Magazine for their “Women in Web Design: Group Interview” article. They asked some really interesting questions, and present all of our answers together in one huge mash up of female web design wisdom and goodness. I’m super honored to be listed among that group of fine ladies — and have to say, a little tickled pink to have been asked since I’ve been a raving fan of Smashing Magazine for quite some time!
